Peskov: Russia unlikely to abolish sanctions against Ukraine
MOSCOW, Oct 6 (PRIME) -- Moscow is unlikely to lift sanctions against Kiev, because Russia was not the one to initiate the exchange of sanctions, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday following a meeting of President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk.
“The Russian government is unlikely to react positively unilaterally. And of course we should remember what Putin said: it was not us who initiated the sanctions exchange. But of course if you ask whether (the situation) contradicts interests of businesses and companies of the two states, then yes, it does,” he said.
